- Lead and manage the Financial Services and Economics department.
- Develop and implement departmental strategic plans.
- Ensure full compliance with IGCSE Economics syllabus requirements.
- Monitor academic performance and implement improvement strategies.
- Prepare students for IGCSE Economics examinations and assessments.
- Teach Economics at the secondary level (IGCSE and/or A-Level where applicable).
- Deliver engaging lessons
- Use data-driven instructional strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Integrate real-world financial case studies and simulations.
- Update curriculum materials to reflect global financial trends.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Lead departmental meetings and professional development initiatives.
- Support teacher training in IGCSE best practices.
- Track and analyze student performance data.
- Ensure proper documentation for curriculum audits.
- Liaise with examination boards and accreditation bodies.
- Ensure adherence to GEMS policies and safeguarding standards.
المهارات
Qualification:

Master’s degree in economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
Experience:
-
Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience in secondary education.

At least 2–3 years in a leadership or head-of-department role.

Proven success in delivering strong IGCSE Economics results.
