Head of Science - August 2026

Due to the continued success of our new school, GEMS Founders School – Dubai South, we are seeking to recruit a Head of Science available for next academic year August 2026.

We are British Schools Overseas (BSO) accredited gaining Outstanding judgements in all standards, allowing us to offer the NQT, QTS and iPGCE programmes to our teachers through the TES Institute.  Successful candidates will need to:

• Embody and role model our core values of Grow, Flourish, Discover "You"
• Hold a BEd or bachelor's degree in science or equivalent or PGCE with QTS 
• Have the ability to share exemplary teaching practices.
• Proven leadership experience within a science department or clear potential to step into a Head of Department role.
• A creative and enthusiastic approach, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents
• Have a proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching
• Have aspiration to work in a world-class school with real prospects for enhancing their career
