GEMS Royal Dubai School will be holding in person interviews in Richmond, London in November 2026 for a range of Primary and Secondary teaching opportunities August 2027.

GEMS Royal Dubai School is a vibrant, premium British curriculum school, educating students from FS1 to Year 9, expanding to include Year 10 in August 2027, with annual growth to Year 13. With a diverse student body of over 870 students from more than 48 nationalities, our school combines a strong sense of community with a commitment to the highest academic standards.

Job Purpose

To deliver consistently excellent teaching that inspires and engages students, supports strong academic and personal development, and ensures every student is challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will contribute positively to the development of their phase and subject area, while upholding the values, standards and wider strategic vision of GEMS Royal Dubai School.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

·       Plan and deliver consistently excellent, engaging lessons aligned with the relevant curriculum, using strong subject knowledge and effective pedagogy to meet the needs of all learners.

·       Set high expectations for achievement, behaviour and participation, creating a safe, inclusive and purposeful learning environment in which every student can succeed.

·       Use assessment effectively to adapt teaching, provide meaningful feedback, track progress and implement timely intervention.

·       Contribute to curriculum planning, resourcing, moderation and the continued development of the Primary or Secondary phase.

·       Build strong relationships with students, colleagues and families, working collaboratively and communicating progress clearly.

·       Contribute actively to the wider life and culture of the school through pastoral responsibilities, enrichment, extra-curricular activities and community events.

·       Demonstrate a reflective, solution-focused High-Performance mindset and engage fully in professional learning, coaching, appraisal and quality assurance.

·       Promote and safeguard students' welfare and personal development, following all school policies, procedures and reporting requirements.

·       Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role, as directed by the Principal.

The successful candidate will have:

· A recognised teaching qualification and relevant degree.

· Experience teaching within a British curriculum or international school environment.

· Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice.

· A proven record of securing strong student progress and outcomes.

· Excellent communication, behaviour management and organisational skills.

· The ambition, adaptability and collaborative mindset required to contribute to a growing and evolving school.

· A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to providing an outstanding learning experience for every student.
