About the School

GEMS Al Barsha National School for Girls, Dubai, is relatively new school which opened in September 2016. It offers an inspirational curriculum based on the National Curriculum for England with Arabic language and UAE culture, heritage and tradition at the heart of everything. As an all-through educational provision, the school currently caters for children from FS1 to Year 10 with plans to grow to Year 13 in successive years. FS provision is co-educational and Y1-10 is girls only. FS boys from GEMS Al Barsha National School for Boys are educated in the girls campus.

The school enjoys a prime location making it easily accessible to everything that Dubai has to offer as well as other Emirates. About the Role

We are looking for qualified "Outstanding" Head of Department Arabic & Islamic  to join the school in September 2018

 

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language or Islamic Jurisprudence
  • Minimum of two years UAE experience as an Outstanding Head Of Department
  • Good standard of written and spoken English

We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching. 

  

Responsibilities:

As Head of Department you will be responsible and accountable for setting and advancing the Academic strategy of the Department in line with the Schools plans.

Improving the school rating in Arabic & Islamic .

Develop curriculum and criteria to raise raise standards in Arabic & Islamic Education
