About the Role

Manager, Data and Analytics plays a crucial role in the effective running of the Education Data Team. Providing vital support to their line manager and leading many aspects of the teams work. The role requires a mixture of attributes which include technical skills with ability to deliver insightful analysis, personal skills to inform, guide and train colleagues and the ability to cover a wide range of assignments including line personnel reporting to the position. The role focusses on the review and implementation of student performance data systems across different school curriculum and contexts to provide for longitudinal, comprehensive, accurate, discerning and meaningful data analysis and reporting to top management in the organization as well as schools and systems levels. 

Expected Qualifications:

A relevant degree and/or exposure to statistical analysis, additionally experience of using any of the following packages would be an advantage: MS Excel, SQL, Server2008, MYSQL, Salesforce, SIMS, iSAMS

Expected Experience:

  • A background in or experience of working with education data at national or local level across multi campus operations is desirable.

    Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • High level proficiency in the use of MS excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to create and extract complex data from spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to create new databases that support school improvement
  • Experience of supporting users with ICT and data interpretation.
  • Experience of creating and presenting information and analysis in a clear and concise manner to colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience of project management.
  • Knowledge of the impact of performance data on school improvement.
  • Self-starter, capable of working under minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrate a high level accuracy and attention to detail when producing analysis and reports.
  • Understanding of relational databases and ability to devise queries.
  • Experience of developing and creating service plan and information polices.
  • Excellent core professional skills, (General strategic skills, experience in business processes, compliance with business policies, PC skills).
  • First class communicator (verbal and written).
