About the Role

Provide administrative and office support to Principal/CEO and SLT through conducting and organising administrative duties to facilitate an efficient operation of the school. Acts as an ambassador to the school and performs in an efficient, professional and confidential manner all job duties.

As a translator convert information from English language into Arabic language and Arabic language into English language. Work in spoken and written language. Speak, read, and write fluently in both languages.

Convert concepts in the source language to equivalent concepts in the target language. The goal of a translator is to have people read the translation as if it were the original. To do that, the translator must be able to write sentences that maintain or duplicate the structure and style of the original meaning while keeping the ideas and facts of the original meaning accurate. Translators must properly transmit any cultural references, including slang, and other expressions that do not translate literally.

About Your Benefits
  • Ability to maintain cultural sensitivity when relaying concepts and ideas between languages (English/Arabic).
  • Facilitate oral communication between Arab families and western staff by interpreting telephone conversations, conference calls, in-person conversations, etc. during school hours, for parent/teacher conferences, after school activities, IEP meetings, and other school functions.
  • Translates school-home communications and system-wide documents from English to Arabic and Arabic to English.
  • Uses technology in English and Arabic appropriately to format, translate, save and retrieve work
    Clarifies content and terminology.
  • Edits work of other translators and responds to editing suggestions of others.
  • Assumes responsibility for quality of translation work submitted by reviewing, editing, and revising own work and quality of interpretation by clarifying ideas and messages to assist with understanding.
    Learns new translations.
  • Assist in the organising of school events and facilitates the use of effective strategies for ascertaining and gaining publicity for all noteworthy events in order to promote the school positively.
  • Supports Principal/CEO and SLT with administrative duties pertaining to the school office.
