We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Head of MoE subjects for our brand-new UK curriculum school in Dubai for September 2023.
The School will be located in Al Waha, Dubai, very close to Sustainable City as well as many other attractive, expat Communities along the Al Qudra Road area. It will follow an established GEMS brand, with unique features at a great fee point. The school will open for learners from FS1 to Year 8 in the founding year, growing subsequently each year to offer a through school curriculum within six years from its opening.
All teaching and leadership staff will be UK-qualified and experienced international school teachers and leaders.
The successful candidate for this role will take responsibility for the strategic development and leadership of the department and will play a key role in striving for excellence at all levels. The person will also be responsible for identifying top talent to join the team, training and development of the team, formalizing detailed and structured planning and schemes of work, implementing a broad range of strategies, differentiated work and materials to match the range of abilities in classes.
Ideal candidates will be well qualified with a sound knowledge and understanding of effective teaching and learning of MoE subjects preferably in a school following the National Curriculum for England. You should have proven leadership skills and evidence of excellence in all aspects of your work.
- Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in Arabic or Islamic Education
- Minimum of 5 years' teaching experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Fluent in English and Arabic
