Head of Design Technology

This is a truly exciting time to be part of GEMS Wellington School – Qatar (WSQ). As a leading British curriculum school in Qatar and part of the Premium GEMS Wellington brand, we firmly believe that every child can achieve, reinforced by our commitment to the High-Performance Learning philosophy (HPL). We are now looking for a passionate, hardworking and talented Head of Design Technology to support the school in its next stage of development. 

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with the skills, passion and creativity to lead an inclusive, yet high-performing Design Technology department across the secondary school. Leading a team of creative, digital and technology specialists, the successful candidate will have a high level of autonomy to ensure Design Technology further develops a significant presence within our school community. At WSQ, we fully believe in the importance of providing a broad, varied and engaging educational experience that enriches the lives of all our students. Design Technology, along with other creative subjects, plays a significant role in this vision. 

Candidates must possess a commitment to helping our students achieve their maximum potential and it is essential to have experience teaching DT at A-Level. As a community, we have very high expectations for all and strive for excellence in all we do.

Qualifications and Experience – The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience. They will also have an appropriate teaching degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
