We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Head Teacher to lead our passionate team of educators in the Special Educational Needs team. As an Assistant Head Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of our youngest learners, ensuring both their wellbeing and academic development is nurtured with care.

We are looking for an outstanding, innovative leader to join the GEMS Founders Family. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Associate Senior Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and inspire a team of teachers and support staff in delivering high-quality education to students with special educational needs.
• Promote inclusive teaching practices and ensure the effective delivery of the school's SEN strategy.
• Monitor the progress of students and provide targeted interventions where necessary.
• Collaborate with other senior leaders to shape and develop the school's vision for SEN.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students.
• Lead and support professional development for staff within the SEN team.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and review of Individual Education Plans
• Maintain and monitor the school's provision for students with SEN, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practices.

The successful applicant will have the following:

• A certified teaching qualification, at degree level such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent . Open University or online degrees are not acceptable.  
• At least 5 years of solid and demonstrable experience in Primary School in a British curriculum school
• Experience in a similar leadership role
• The desire to provide outstanding teaching and learning
• Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents
• A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
