Athletics Educational Assistant

GEMS Dubai American Academy is looking for an Athletics Educational Assistant. The primary function of this position is to provide assistance to the Athletics Department and support all sports/activities at the school.

Key Accountabilities

Performance Responsibilities:

Support Assistance

• Provide assistance to the Athletics Department to promote all the athletic programs at Dubai American Academy.
• Meet with the Athletics Director each day to prepare for after school activities and sports.
• Help coaches in preparation for practices for all sports throughout the year.
• Help prepare venues for practices and games.
• Prepare facilities and provide equipment needed for MESAC, EAC, and DISSC competition. 
• Assist with the organization of athletic teams practices, games and tournaments.
• Apply first aid to all players and students when necessary.

Facilities and Equipment:

• Organize all athletic department equipment to be used during the practices, and store them away after use.
• Organize the sports equipment rooms.
• Maintain and organize the storage of all sports equipment, this includes the upkeep and inventory of such items. This includes attending to minor repairs.
• Maintain and organize the storage of all sports uniforms, this includes the upkeep and inventory of such This includes ordering replacements or new sets, and organizing with seasonal coaches the hand-out and return of uniforms from seasonal teams.
• Assist with maintenance of the facilities by preparing a maintenance checklist, carry out maintenance checks, walk-throughs, and preparing the necessary work orders.
• Assist with the maintenance of the facilities by collating, keeping track and liaising with the MSO.
• Report any and all safety concerns to the Athletics Director.

Duty:

• Supervise and check team sports practices and prepare the first aid kit, ice are ready in the case of an injury.
• Help Athletics Director with all tournaments, weekday and weekend events by preparing all the necessary facilities and equipment.
• Interact with the coaches regarding facilities and equipment
• Help at all MESAC, EAC, DISSC and DASSA events that Dubai American Academy hosts throughout the school year.
• Washing, drying and storing of all sports
• Help coordinate with security the arrival and departure of teams, visiting parents,
