Job Description
The Head of Assessment will be responsible for the whole school assessment and any other area detailed by Principal. To follow and support school aims, policies and practices of learning, behaviour, appraisal & assessment.
The successful applicant will:
- Ensure the quality and rigor of internal assessment papers across all subjects, incorporating high standards and critical thinking, and aligning with the PACIER approach.
- Lead the analysis of assessment data and ensure targeted interventions are planned and implemented based on student needs.
- Promote the effective use of assessment data in classrooms to inform and adapt teaching and learning strategies.
- Oversee compliance with National Agenda requirements, including school registration and implementation of standardized benchmarking assessments across core subjects; monitor and evaluate their impact.
- Analyze all assessment data and guide students, teachers, and parents in interpreting results and applying insights to enhance learning outcomes.
- Publish a termly newsletter focused on National Agenda parameters and school performance.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all standardized assessments conducted within the school.
- Drive the effective use of Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies and provide training for staff, including the use of digital AFL tools.
- Conduct lesson observations to ensure data-driven instruction and continuous monitoring of student progress within lessons.
- Analyze external examination results, including CBSE and CAIE, to inform school improvement strategies.
- Stay updated on developments and changes in CBSE and CAIE assessment frameworks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date assessment data systems, utilizing tools such as Power BI for reporting and analysis.
Skills
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education and relevant subject area.
- Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills
- Well versed with Power BI
- Be an outstanding practitioner with good knowledge of UAE Inspection framework
