We are recruiting for an outstanding Head of Mathematics to join the GEMS World Academy in Abu Dhabi from August 2026.
We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional Mathematics and driving academic excellence across the department. The successful candidate will bring strong subject expertise and a proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team of dedicated teachers.

Skills
Successful applicants will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, or a closely related field, with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE) or teaching license.
- Proven leadership experience within a Mathematics department or clear potential to step into a Head of Department role.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to lead on curriculum planning, assessment, and staff development.
- A consistent track record of outstanding teaching and learning, with evidence of excellent student progress and achievement.
- Experience teaching within the British curriculum and/or the IB framework is highly desirable.
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and guide colleagues in delivering excellence across the Mathematics faculty.
