Job Description
GEMS World Academy is seeking an inspiring and experienced Languages Teacher to join our vibrant Secondary School team. We are looking for educators who are passionate about language acquisition and intercultural understanding, and who can deliver high-quality instruction in one or more modern languages within the IB framework.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach one or more modern languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian etc.) to Secondary students, aligned with IB MYP and/or DP curriculum.

Promote language fluency, cultural awareness, and global citizenship through engaging, student-centered lessons.

Develop and implement creative and differentiated learning experiences that cater to diverse learner needs.

Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support growth.

Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support interdisciplinary learning.

Contribute to school life through language clubs, cultural events, and extracurricular activities.
Skills
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Linguistics, or a related field.

A recognized teaching qualification./ valid Teaching license.
-
Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching languages at the secondary level.

Experience with the IB MYP and/or DP is highly desirable.

Native or near-native fluency in the language(s) taught.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teaching.
