Job Description
The Social Media Executive is responsible for building GEMS Education’s social media presence through innovative content, community management, and stakeholder engagement. This role partners with schools to ensure social campaigns are locally resonant and globally aligned, driving engagement and reinforcing GEMS’ position as a trusted education brand.
The Marketing & Social Media Executive will lead the end-to-end marketing and digital presence of GEMS Schools in Abu Dhabi. This role combines strategic marketing, campaign execution, and social media content creation to position our schools to the right audience.
The role is responsible for driving enrolments through integrated marketing campaigns, building a vibrant online community, and ensuring all communications reflect the school’s unique brand, aligned with GEMS Education’s global reputation.
- Develop and execute social content calendars for group and school campaigns.
- Partner with school marketing manager to adapt content for local audiences.
- Manage community engagement and reputation across social platforms.
- Lead creative development for short-form content (reels, shorts, live streaming).
- Collaborate with PR and admissions on campaigns supporting enrolment.
- Provide schools with toolkits, templates, and guidance for effective social media execution.
- Track, analyse, and optimise performance across platforms, sharing learnings with schools.
Skills
- 3–6 years in social media management.
- Proven ability to grow communities and engagement.
- Strong creative instincts and deep understanding of algorithms.
- Skilled at managing stakeholders across multiple schools.
- Preferably an Arabic speaker
