GEMS Royal Dubai School is a vibrant, premium British curriculum school, currently educating students from FS1 to Year 8. We are proudly expanding to include a Nursery in January 2026 and Year 9 in September 2026, with a strategic growth plan leading to Year 13. With a diverse student body of over 850 students from more than 48 nationalities, our school combines a strong sense of community with a commitment to the highest academic standards. As we continue to grow, we are thrilled to announce the opening of our new, purpose-built nursery on the current site in January 2026, and separate secondary campus in September 2026 — state-of-the-art facilities designed to further enrich the world-class education we offer.
Due to growth, we are looking for dynamic and passionate individuals to join us as Nursery Assistants for January 2026. Job Purpose:
To provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children in the Early Years, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development in line with UAE regulations, nursery policies, and international best practice.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Childcare & Learning
- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum or equivalent framework.
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, activities, and learning experiences.
- Observe and record children’s progress, sharing information with parents and the nursery team.
- Promote children’s independence, social skills, and self-confidence.
Health, Safety & Wellbeing
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in line with health and safety standards.
- Ensure all safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed.
- Respond promptly and effectively to accidents, incidents, or health concerns, liaising with the clinic team where appropriate.
- Promote healthy routines around eating, hygiene, and rest.
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency of care and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents, building positive relationships and providing updates on children’s progress.
- Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions as required.
Professional Standards
- Demonstrate a nurturing, patient, and caring attitude at all times.
- Uphold RDS values, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum CACHE Level 2/3 Diploma in Early Years Education or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Previous experience in a nursery/early years setting (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Knowledge of child development and EYFS (or equivalent) curriculum.
- Current first aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake).

Working Hours & Conditions
- Full-time, in line with nursery operational hours.
- Based on-site at the nursery, with occasional evening/weekend events.
- Annual leave, benefits, and contract terms in line with UAE Labour Law.
