We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Primary Computing Teacher to join our high-performing team from January 2027. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with excellent Computing subject knowledge, a strong understanding of curriculum progression and a passion for developing confident, creative and responsible users and creators of technology.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious educator to teach Primary Computing within one of the region's most innovative learning environments. We also welcome applications from Secondary Computing specialists who are excited by the opportunity to bring their subject expertise into a Primary setting and try something new.

Job Purpose:
To teach Primary Computing, delivering ambitious, progressive and high-quality provision across the Primary phase. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding Computing teaching and learning, support colleagues in developing their practice, and ensure students build strong foundations in computational thinking, programming, digital literacy and the responsible use of technology.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing review of an ambitious and progressive Primary Computing curriculum, aligned with the National Curriculum for England. 

• Deliver consistently outstanding teaching and learning experiences, modelling excellent practice and sharing expertise with colleagues. 

• Support the purposeful and age-appropriate integration of AI, robotics and emerging technologies within learning. 

• Develop students' understanding of digital citizenship, online safety and the responsible and ethical use of technology. 

• Use assessment and student data effectively to identify progress, personalise learning and ensure appropriate challenge for all. 

• Contribute specialist expertise to selected workshops, enrichment activities and innovation opportunities across other phases of the school, where appropriate. 

• Be committed to the safeguarding, wellbeing and personal and social development of all students. 

• Work effectively with colleagues, students and parents using excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

• Make a positive contribution to the wider school community and culture through active engagement in extracurricular programmes and community events. 

• Actively pursue their own professional development as a teacher. 

• Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the school leadership team.
