We are looking to appoint outstanding Primary ICT Integrator and Teacher of STEM for a September 2024 start.
GEMS FirstPoint School (FPS) opened in 2014 and is positioned in the heart of The Villa community in Dubai. It is a Premium British Curriculum School, providing an excellent standard of education to around 2000 students from Nursery (aged 2) to Year 13, with exciting plans to expand facilities further in the coming years. The school has grown rapidly and continues to be popular with families from across Dubai with over 90 nationalities represented. FPS is housed in state-of-the-art buildings with a separate sport and performing arts centre, swimming pools, theatre, sports hall, dance, drama and music rooms. Our main building contains specialist facilities such as a range of computer labs, food technology kitchen, textiles and design suite, fully equipped Design Technology workshops, science labs and much more. The Teacher of STEM at GEMS FirstPoint Primary School will have the exciting opportunity to both teach and collaborate across the Primary School, crafting an innovative programme that encompasses coding within the computing curriculum, integrating design thinking, and drawing upon knowledge from STEM subjects. Within state-of-the-art facilities and resources, the successful candidate will provide students with the chance to explore and embrace roles as coders, designers, makers, entrepreneurs, and inventors, poised to lead innovations into the 21st century. We are dedicated to supporting the right individual in both curriculum development and their personal skill enhancement.
Playing a crucial role, the teacher of STEM will deliver captivating and comprehensive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education to our students. Their influence will inspire and motivate students, nurturing a solid foundation in critical thinking, problem-solving, design and make, creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation—essential skills for thriving in the 21st century. The ideal candidate will exhibit a genuine passion for STEM education, showcase excellent teaching skills, and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
