Science Teacher - Immediate start

Due to the continued success of GEMS Founders School, Al Mizhar, we are looking to recruit an outstanding Science Teacher to join our team for an immediate start.

The Science Department at GFM is a thriving, high perfoming department supported by multiple specialist science labratories and a strong culture of practical, investigative learning. Students achieved impressive IGCSE outcomes, including 63% achieving grades 9-7 in Biology, 65% in Chemistry and 56% in Physics. At A Level, 78% of students achieved A*-A in Biology, 53% in Chemistry and 45% in Physics. Biology, Chemistry and Physics all achieved outstanding attainment measures based on KHDA criteria, while Biology also achieved an outstanding or very good progress measure. With strong pathways through GCSE, A Level and BTEC Science, the department offers excellent opportunities to teach across a broad and ambitious curriculum.

What we are looking for: 

• Bachelors of Education (BEd) or a Bachelors degree in the relevant subject area with a recognized PGCE & QTS.
• Both newly qualified and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, with an enthuisiasm for developing their teaching practice and growing with a supportive school enviornment. 
• Have proven experience teaching Science at GCSE level.
• Experience teaching within a British Curriculum School.
