Secondary Supply Teacher - Immediate Start

GEMS International School – Dubai Hills is welcoming applications from experienced Secondary Supply Teachers to join with immediate availability. This is a flexible opportunity to provide classroom cover across our Secondary phase on an as-needed basis, supporting continuity of learning within our school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom cover across the Secondary phase as required.
• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the plans and resources provided, ensuring continuity of learning for students.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment where all students feel supported and engaged.
• Adapt teaching and support to meet the diverse needs of learners, including EAL and students requiring additional support.
• Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, engagement and learning in line with school policies.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and wider Secondary colleagues to ensure a smooth transition into and out of classroom cover.
• Provide relevant feedback to the class teacher or appropriate team member following periods of cover.
• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students, following school policies and procedures at all times.
• Uphold the GEMS values and IB Learner Profile in all aspects of school life.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognised professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent.
• Previous experience teaching within the Secondary phase, ideally within an international school environment.
• Experience within an IB curriculum school is preferred but not essential.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to quickly adapt to different year groups, learning environments and classroom needs.
• A positive, flexible and professional approach, with the confidence to provide high-quality classroom cover as required.
• A passion for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.
• The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and wider school teams to ensure continuity of learning.
• Availability to start immediately and provide supply cover as required.

What We Offer:

This is a supply teaching opportunity, with work offered on an as-needed basis according to the operational requirements of the school.
