From September 2025, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Physical Education to join the college. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching A Level Physical Education. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in coaching one of our core sports of football or swimming. Please note that there is a possibility of departmental leadership for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will work in an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and effective. In 2024 the results in GCSE were outstanding, with 100% of students receiving 9-4 grades, of which 50% achieved grades 9-7. At A-Level, the results were equally impressive with 100% A*- C.
The opportunities which PE presents for students are central to the philosophy of the school. As a result, this appointment is crucial to the continued development of Jumeirah College.
Skills
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
- B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
- At least 2 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England.
- Experience teaching A Level Physical Education. We are seeking to appoint a talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individual. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
- Experience coaching one of our core sports of football or swimming to a high level.
- A mindset which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.
- Experience which will enable a contribution to our enriched curriculum programme.
